- RunTex 30K-Race (January, Buda, TX) in
2:11:40 Placing 34th overall running 7:03-pace on
a hilly course.
- Austin Motorola Marathon (February, Austin, TX) in
3:16:16 Finally, a marathon with decent weather,
and I broke 3:20 in the third try! Ran 7:17-pace
with the 3:10-pace group (a lot of fun!)
the first 21M, and lost about 5 minutes on the last 5 miles.
- Mercer Island Half-Marathon (March, Mercer Island (near Seattle), WA) in
1:29:09
Broke 90 minutes with style on a hilly course with
a lot of turns.
- Galveston Health Week 5K (November, Galveston, TX)
in 18:47 Best 5K race of the old Millennium!
- Congress Avenue Mile Race (December, Austin, TX)
in 5:17 Finished with and beat runners
whose 10K PRs were more than a minute
faster than my 10K-PR; following a 5K-training program makes you
really run faster!

- Concoco Rodeo Run 10K(February, Houston, TX) in
39:39 Breaking 40 minutes the first
time, placing 108th overall out of 4400 finishers!
- Crescent City Classic 10K (April, New Orleans, NO) in
40:08 Winning a top-500-finisher poster
placing 261st!
- Madison Marathon (May, Madison, WI) in
3:12:27 Managed to pick up the pace again after a bad patch,
and won an age group award!
- First Colony 30K Race (December, Sugarland, TX) in
2:08:36
Ran 6:54 pace and placed 34th overall --- fastest longer distance
race of 2000!
- Asic's and Runner's World Midnight Run (December, New York, NY) having fun and
running quite slowly Finishing the year 2000 with a blast!
- 2001
- Mount Evans Ascent (June, Idaho Spring, CO) in
3:01:57 Finish about 14200 feet, and I did'n have
any problems with altitude sickness
- Turkey Trot 5M (November, Sugarland, TX) in
31:36 First PR in 2001 after overcoming a lot of
injuries and other problems in 2001.
- White Rock Marathon (December, Dallas TX) in
3:10:26 PR on a beautiful cold, sunny winter morning.
- Congress Avenue Mile (December, Austin, TX) in
5:16.7 Another surprising PR just 2 weeks after the
White Rock Marathon.
- 2002
- El Paso Energy Half Marathon (January, Houston, TX) in
1:27:16 Another PR!
- Motorola Marathon (February, Austin, TX) in
3:03:37 Best marathon of my life also winning an
age group award; running 7:00 pace all the way --- lost 30 seconds
on mile 23 and 24, but finished strong getting 15 second back on the last
mile, running the "stretch" in 6:10-pace insired by the loud crowd support.
- Bighorn Trail 53K (June, Shrerida, WY) in
7:35:37 My first ultra race runnign over the prairies
of Wyoming. Although I was slow, I really enjoyed the scenery a lot!
- New York City Marathon (November) in
3:15:46 Returned to the site of my first marathon and
enjoyed it a lot! Finished strong, and passed about 1000 runners on
the last 11M finish 1448th overall.
