Abstract: The same way that it takes a multidisciplinary team, involving a surgeon, a radiologist, an oncologist etc... to manage a cancer disease, it takes a multidisciplinary model involving soft tissue mechanic, medical imaging and biology modeling to predict the dynamic of a tumor. Meanwhile surgeons and theoreticians have a difficult time to speak the same language and share experiences and knowledge.

The goal of this workshop is to encourage cross collaboration and focus on applications that will make the difference in clinical care.

This workshop will cover the following topics and more:

  • Surgery Practice in Breast Cancer, Lung Cancer, Brain Cancer…
  • Modeling tumor growth
  • Medical Imaging of Tumor
  • Drug Delivery
  • Radio-Frequency and Cryogenic Ablation
  • Modeling tumor growth
  • Medical Robotic
  • Biopsy
  • Chemotherapy
  • Radiotherapy
  • Image-based simulations

Some of the best work presented at the workshop will be published in a special issue of an international journal.
