Thoughts on Experiments

In this homework, we will examine the experimental methodology in an area of work, most likely unrelated to our area of research. Please read the article Validity Established of Dreamlight Cues for Eliciting Lucid Dreaming [Local Copy] and answer the following questions:

What metrics are used in the experiments? Are there gaps in metrics? If there are, what are they?

Are you convinced of the conclusions? Please include justification for your opinion.

The article is written in 1995. If you had to do this experiment today, will you do it differently? If you will do it differently, please describe your proposed setup. If you will not do it differently, please describe why newer research infrastructures will not significantly enhance these experiments.
