Describing Metrics, Experiments, and Results
In the class, we discussed new ways to make furniture assembly easier, faster, and more fun. Create a new design, pick a design, or combine the different designs as your design as a case study for this homework. Write a two-page paper covering the following points:
- Name your system. This is the title of your two-page paper.
- Describe the Experiments you want to perform. Give some thoughts to aspects such as the scenarios, participants, setup of the lab, recruiting, etc.
- Describe the metrics you will use to measure various aspects of the performance of the system.
- Include a results section. You won't be doing any implementation or experiments so you don't have the data to draw graphs. You can come up with some "fake" data that you expect and draw graphs. If you decide to use fake data, the first sentence of your results section should read "All the results in this section are based on fictitious data and are not the results of experiments." The results section will include description of these graphs just like a research paper.
Please use ACM two-column template for this submission. Your pdf should be named hw6.pdf.
