Homework 3: Understanding Network Systems

In this homework, we will take a critical look at some of the
papers we read this semester.
Research papers
- Pick two research papers according to this rule: paperidx =
1 + ((sum of all the digits of your student id) mod 15). Your
paper ids are paperidx and paperidx+1. If your paper IDs are 4
and 5, you should select the fourth and fifth paper on the
course website. If your second paper ID is 16, then your second
paper is paper 1.
- Write a five-line summary of what you found interesting in
the first paper followed by a five-line summary of what you
found interesting in the second paper.
- Then write a five-line interpretation of how those two
papers are related to each other.
Formatting instruction: Please use Arial 11 pt font
and 1 inch margins for main text. Each section should have an
appropriate title that is bold and 12pt in size. The section
titles do not count towards the five-line limit. All the
sections should be on a single page.
Submission
Please submit your homework as a single pdf that should have
three sections. Please use Moodle to upload your
homework.
