Research Paper Review
Pick a research paper you cite in your paper that was published in 2012 or later. If all your cited papers are older, please find one published more recently. Write a review for that paper.
As we have discussed in the class, a good review will contain a minimum of four components: a short summary, strengths, weaknesses, and detailed comments to the authors. The summary, strengths, and weaknesses are about one paragraph each. The detailed comments should be a minimum of half page. Here is a guide on how to write a good review. Although the focus of this guide is reviewing for systems conference, most of the information there is more broadly applicable.
Your review should contain the following information in this sequence in no more than two pages of pdf:
Paper title
Authors
Conference/journal name and selectivity
Publication date
Your level of expertise in a scale of 1 (unfamiliar) to 5 (expert)
Recommendations: accept, weak accept, weak reject, or reject.
1-4 sentence commentary on the novelty of the work when it was published.
