My research involves extending the OpenMP language to allow OpenMP programs to scale to high end systems via exploration of features in languages like the HPCS languages and other parallel programming models. By analyzing the languages Chapel, Fortress, and X10, I hope to identify features that could be included in an extended version of OpenMP.
