To get a good understanding of the fundamentals of computer networks

• What did you like about the course?

It is a very interesting course because the student is naturally curious about how computer networks work due to using the internet on a daily basis. The textbook for the course was excellent. The authors really did a good job in keeping the reader interested and in explaining the subject.

• What would you improve about the course?

Maybe a tour of the networking infrastructure of the Computer Science department would have been useful, such as showing the routers, bridges etc. Also any laboratory work involving the networking hardware would be useful. This would further the understanding of the concepts learned in class.

• Would you recommend this course to other students?

Yes, definitely. It was a fun course.

Yes. I am happy I took this course.

My experience has been quite positive so far. I’ve had some interesting courses and good instructors.

Dr. Subhlok is an excellent teacher. He made difficult concepts easy to understand.

Very clear and logical

Dr. Subhlok was very interested and enthusiastic. I never felt bored during his lectures.

• Was he willing to give assistance to students outside of class?

He took the time to answer all my questions. And I definitely learned a lot more because of that.
