Decomposition into 4NF

• Employee should be decomposed into Emp (E#, Ename), Emp-Proj (E#, Project) and Emp-Dep (E#, Dependent)

• All new relations are 4FN, since E# ->> Project is trivial in Emp-Proj and E# ->> Dependant is trivial in Emp-Dependant

• No non-trivial MVDs hold

• If relations are in 4NF, we need to store fewer tuples and avoid update anomalies
