SEC \ About SEC


The Software Engineering Conference (SEC) is a two day event, held in the Conrad Ballroom #202B in the Hilton Hotel at the University of Houston Main Campus on October 19th and 20th, 2007. The SEC is a gathering of speakers from the industry and academics in Houston and around the country, to provide discussions regarding various issues and topics related to software engineering. The conference also includes an expert panel discussion offering the opportunity to interact with speakers and presenters.

The SEC is organized by CougarCS, computer science student organization at the University of Houston, in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science at the University of Houston.

The purpose of this event is to provide a unique opportunity to get access to latest topics in Software Engineering and other Computer Science related issues. The SEC also provides the opportunity to network with the speakers, the scientists of the University of Houston Computer Science department, and students from various campuses.

The SEC is free of admissions, and free to the public. However, attendees of the SEC are required to fill out the online registration form. Attendees who register online for the SEC and sign in during the registration on Friday October 19th, 2007 will be able to participate in the complimentary dinner given on Friday evening.

The deadline for online registration is Thursday October 18th, 2007, 12:00 pm.

Online registration for the banquet closes on Tuesday October 16th, 2007, 12:00 pm.
