I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Houston and director of the Pattern Analysis Laboratory. I am currently a member of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence AAAI as well as of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers IEEE. My research interests include Machine Learning, Statistical Learning, Pattern Recognition, Data Mining, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Applied to Physics and Astronomy.
