Literature Review

Many recent AI systems claim to help researchers find, summarize, and organize work related to their research. As a result, we may be able to almost generate literature review / survey papers automatically. But. Not. Quite. Yet.

Pick at least two AI tools or techniques to generate a 2-5 page literature review / survey paper in an area related to your research. Then, answer:

  1. What AI tools did you use? Please provide prompts or techniques to reproduce your results.
  2. What is your assessment of the quality of the output? For this assessment, please do not use an LLM because we want to develop some of this assessment skill.
  3. What types of errors did you need to fix to make it into a proper literature review? Please provide specific examples.
  4. What papers did these tools/techniques surface that you were not aware of? What is the quality/importance of those papers?

Your submission should have a maximum of two pages in addition to the generated literature review as an appendix.
