D Flip-Flop

The D Latch, or Data latch, is a variation of the SR latch circuit. One way of eliminating the undesirable condition of the indeterminate state in the RS flip-flop is by making sure both inputs R and S never equal to 1 at the same time. The D flip-flop allows this functionality, the D input goes directly into the R input and its complement is applied to the R input.

The next state of the flip-flop is independent of the present state. Whenever the clock pulse is applied, the input D is transferred to the output
