There will be at least 2 programming assignments and some written assignments.
There will be two midterms and one final exam. Midterms will be a closed-book exam. Final exam will be a open-book exam (detail will be announced later). No make-up exam is allowed unless there is a verifiable medical excuse.
The projected dates for midterms are Sep. 25 and Nov. 1. The final exam is at 2-5 PM, on Dec. 11.
If you miss a class, you are still responsible for knowing everything that took place. Your absence does not change the due date of an assignment.
The final grade assigned will be tentatively based on the grades of three exams, two midterms (40%, 20% each) and a final (30%), and on the assignments (30%).
Any student found guilty of academic dishonesty will receive severe punishment.Last modified: October 6, 2000.
