• 04-21-2001:

  The instruction to submit your project can be found here. And we will post sign up sheet (to demo your program) early next week.

• 04-04-2001:

  PDF files for Chapter 4b, 5a, 5b, and 5c have been posted.
  There is a typo in Page 372, Problem 6, (a). "destinations X, Y, and A" should be "W, Y, and A".
  The current errata can be found here.

  Test data generating program has been posted. See here for detail.

• 04-02-2001:

  The Assignment #4 has been posted and is due on Monday, April 9, 2001, in the class.
  And deadline for project has been extended to April 23, 2001 (the following Monday). Also, you can find sample UDP programs in the project web page.

• 03-08-2001:

  We have finished grading midterm and distributed them in Wed's class. You can find your grade here and also the solutions for midterm.

• 03-02-2001:

  There was a mistake of answer key for old Midterm #2, Problem 4, a. The graph of throughput for a) should be between 10 and 20 (not 25). Sorry for the inconvenience.

• 02-28-2001:

  Mark's office hours for this Thursday are cancelled, but he will have office hours on this Friday 1 - 3 PM. And Dr. Subhlok will have extra office hours on Friday 3 - 4 PM.

• 02-27-2001:

  The solutions to old exams and review/practice problems from textbook have been posted here (password protected). Also, list of practice problems has been updated.

• 02-26-2001:

  PDF file of a supplement notes - RPC (Remote Procedure Calls) has been posted. RPC will not be covered in midterm exam.

• 02-22-2001:

  Midterm will be held at 2:30 PM, on March 5th, 2001. You can find old exams from last semester here (password protected; check your e-mail for instruction). Old questions are posted at this moment. We will post solutions later this week.

  Assignment #3 has been posted and it is due on Feb. 28, 2001 in the class [no late assignment for this one].

• 02-12-2001:

  Policy for late assignment (for Assignment #2 only) has been posted. Check here for detail.
  Also, PDF files for Chapter 2b and 3 have been posted.
  TA finally got a key to his office (531 PGH).

  Some updates/hints has been posted for Assignment #2. Plus a copy of simple Makefile.

• 01-31-2001:

  There is a mistake in the function generating checksum in Assignment #2. Please see web page for correction. Also, instruction is posted for students want to use Java for Assignment #2.

  Assignment #2 has been posted and is due Midnight, Wed., Feb. 14, 2001. (I know it's Valentine's Day. You can turn in early though. ;-) )

  Mark is still working on the detail of Assignment #2. All the detail will be posted by 5 AM, Wed, Jan 31. So, please check back again. Sorry for the delay.

• 01-29-2001:

  PDF files for Socket Programming and Chapter 2a have been posted.

• 01-25-2001:

  For those who will be dropped from this course (without COSC 4330 prerequisite), an e-mail has been sent to you. Please take proper action accordingly.
  Also, please sign-up the mailing list if you haven't done so. It would be used to announce last minute update.
